10 Chickens, Summer 2018
10 pasture raised chickens, available in August. These birds are raised on our farm outdoors on pasture with supplemental grains. We process them ourselves for the best bird possible, pack them as whole chickens in a shrink bag, and deep freeze them for you.
Our 9 week fall 2018 CSA begins September 11th and runs through November 4th. Starting with the last summer tomatoes and peppers perfect for homemade salsa and ending with leeks, potatoes, turnips, and rutabagas just in time for warm vegetable soups as the weather turns cold. As with all our shares, we reserve the right to add eggs, bread, pie, and jam to your CSA at any time to ensure you have the variety and value you are looking for.
This 14 week CSA is the mainstay of our farm starting June 4th 2018 and ending September 4th it covers the peak seasons of many crops. You will get an overflowing bushel box every week with pickup at our Farm Stand on Tuesdays. Pick up on Fridays or delivery in the Alexandria Lakes Area may be possible by arrangement please email us. This CSA has the most variety of the year. Tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, zucchini, carrots, lettuce heads, beets, broccoli, and much more. The variety of textures, colors, and flavors engage your palate and sway your diet towards vegetables. You'll enjoy better health and the peace of mind knowing where your food is coming from. We reserve the right to add eggs, bread and jam to supplement your share!
Shares can be purchased after June 4th for the remainder of the season, prices will be pro-rated.
Our spring share is a welcome mix of fresh leaf lettuces, early carrots, radishes, asian greens, baby spinach, baby kales, and more.
This 8 week CSA starts April 10th 2018 and runs til May 29th with a 3/4 bushel box delivered every week. We only offer a limited number of these shares, so that our members can enjoy a full bounty. Many of these crops are seeded in February (outdoors with no supplemental heat!) or overwintered as seedlings. The overwintered spinach is fabulously sweet after a winter of cold and snow.
